The Afro-jazz artistes said the 11-track album will be launched in the country in August after its release in Austria, where it is being mastered and mixed.

Jeys said he completed recording of the album early this year and he sent it to Austria so that it could be further processed and laced with a touch of international standards.

He said they agreed with his producers to first release the album in Austria before it comes home.

Jeys said the album embraces various genres such as Afro-jazz, contemporary beats and tradition songs.

“I believe as a musician I have matured and in this album I tried my level best to fuse various genres which I am strongly convinced will appeal to a lot of people because I have tried to forge different genres into one album,” he said.

Jeys also said that his tour to Austria last year opened opportunities for him because he managed to broker a recording deal with an Austrian company that is mastering and mixing the album.

Jeys’ last album was recorded in South Africa in 2011 and was released in 2012.

His album featured renowned artistes from South Africa such as Nana Coyote previously with Stimela band and the Zimbabwe’s Ndatshi Mkhize of Mahlathini and Mahotela Queens.

Marabini’s musical career dates back from the nineties when he was singing imbube before changing to Afro-jazz.

Over the past years he has performed alongside big names such as Ringo Madlingozi and Judith Sephuma.

Marabini has six albums under his name and these include Sisemarabini and Izenzo among others.
