The six-track album titled The Covenant carries tracks such as Golgotha, Jehovah Wami, Sweet Anointing and many more.

Sibanda told Southern Eye  she was happy about the album which was produced at Moonlight Studios.

“It makes me happy to see my works going the right direction and through the grace of God I will wrap up the project,” said Sibanda. “The album in which I use both Ndebele and English, has many themes such as faith, peace, thanks giving and praising God the almighty.”

On the album Sibanda worked with her brother Bhekinkosi who plays the piano and Nhlanhla Dube playing the drum.

Sibanda said she gets her inspiration from female gospel musicians Mai Charamba and South African gospel icon Rebecca Malope, adding that she thrives to send a message to people, especially the youths, through her music.

“Since I am still in school I only practise music on weekends and also at church.

“I don’t want music to clash with my studies and  I am looking forward to pass and go on to become a lawyer and musician at the same time.”

The Bulawayo-born Sibonginkosi started her music career last year in the Bible Life Ministries church choir.

Currently she is doing  Ordinary Level studies at New Horizon College.
