Wome had an impressive season at Free State Stars where he scored crucial goals while creating scoring opportunities at the same time. His contribution saw Stars finish the league on position seven. He also proved lethal from the free-kick spot.

The burly Wome previously played for Togolese Club Maranatha before being loaned out to Liberty Professionals from where he joined Free State Stars. He has also featured for the Togolese national side. He will be teaming up with former teammate Edward Manqele at Sundowns.

Sundowns also confirmed the signing of striker Cuthbert Malajila from Martizburg United. The Zimbabwe international has not yet reported for duty at Sundowns, as he and other international players have been given extra time off following their participation in World Cup qualifiers.

Malajila has scored 10 goals for Maritzburg and coach Pitso Mosimane hopes he will maintain his rich vein of form to improve the fortunes of Sundowns.

At the same time Sundowns have confirmed that attacking winger Musa Nyatama is on trial at Bloemfontein Celtic. Maritzburg United, the club where the Benoni player’s star began to shine while on loan from Sundowns, are also still keen to get his signature.

Sundowns are busy with pre-season training and assessments at Chloorkop before moving on to Polokwane for their pre-season camp. The team will then return to Chloorkop before leaving for Ghana for intensive preparation and matches against some of the top sides in Ghana.
