Addressing supporters at a Zapu meeting held at Luveve’s Beithall over the weekend, Dabengwa said the party was set to embark on a massive campaign countrywide.

“There is no going back now.We do not have the resources including the cars needed to move around for our campaign, but we will try by all means to make this campaign a success even if it means getting assistance from donors,” the former Zanu PF politburo member said.

Dabengwa said it was high time Zapu supporters put their differences aside for the good of the party, towards the elections.

“Those who were defeated in the primary elections must not hold grudges, but should find it in their hearts to forgive and forget because now is the time to continue supporting the party so that we move forward,” he said.

He said it was obvious that there were a few parties who wanted they to be successful and it was now time Zapu showed the people who wished them ill what the party was made of.

“The walk is long, but it can seem short when you are prepared. There are only 30 days left before elections and we have to go door-to-door in our campaign,” he said.

He said it was clear that some of the party candidates were chosen in an unfair manner, which did not satisfy the people, but it was now time for them to try by all means to justify their positions in the party.

“If the bogus candidates in Parliament, Cabinet ministers and councillors that unfairly got seats take a wrong foot, we will not hesitate to boot them out,” Dabengwa added.
