The former Kaizer Chiefs man, who did not renew his contract with English League Two side Plymouth Argyle at the end of last season, arrived at the club this week after attempting to impress Turkish side Elazigspor last week. Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson confirmed Bhasera’s arrival.

“He’s here and were having a look at him,” Johnson told the Plymouth Herald  yesterday. “We’ve also got the boy Junior Yiadom.

We’re just giving them the opportunity over two or three days to show us what they can do and whether they can be that round peg in the round hole.”

The Warriors man arrived at Plymouth in 2010 and became a fans’ favourite at Home Park, with his fine performances catching the eye of Championship suitors.

Reports indicate that two championship sides Bristol City and Oxford United are also interested in the versatile left-back.

Lewin Nyatanga, a player with Zimbabwe roots, had a trial stint at Yeovil last week before settling for Barnsley where he has signed a two year deal.

Nyatanga is born to a Zimbabwean father and a Welsh mother. The 24-year old player holds the records for being the youngest captain and youngest player ever to play for the Welsh Under-21. He made his senior international debut in 2006 aged only 17 and has so far won 34 caps.

Meanwhile, another Warriors man Khama Billiat is waiting for results from his trial stint at Lokomotiv Moscow. The Ajax Cape Town speedy winger was training with the Russian side last week and he believes he was able to learn a lot during his time with the club.

Speaking to Ajax Cape Town’s official website, Billiat said, “I enjoyed my time with Lokomotiv Moscow and hopefully I made a good impression during my time with the team.

“The trial was a good experience for me, Lokomotiv Moscow is a big team and the training sessions are very tough.

They are very professional in their approach to everything that they do and being part of their pre-season camp will hopefully help me to take my game to another level.”

He added: “We played two friendlies during our training camp unfortunately we lost both games. I came on as a substitute for both friendlies.

The players are big and very physical; however they also play a good brand of football. Dame N’Doyé (Senegal) and Victor Obinna (Nigeria) helped me to settle in and to understand the culture of the club as well as what is expected from the players’.

Billiat is also linked with moves to Absa Premiership giants Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Another good news for the Warriors is that Nyasha Mushekwi has reportedly impressed in Belgium with club KV Oostende interested in signing the big striker.

His manager Ralph Nkomo told a South African radio station Metro FM: “He has done very well. The team is ready to come down and speak to Sundowns.”

“The boy is excited and he really thinks he can make it right there (in Belgium),” Nkomo added. KV Oostende has just been promoted to the Belgian Pro League (Jupiler) after winning the second division title.
