Hakeem, booted out of the reality TV show last week, will come to the City of Kings courtesy of local socialite Babongile Sikhonjwa.

In an interview with Southern Eye Lifestyle, Sikhonjwa said the move was aimed at welcoming Hakeem “home” after he was evicted from the TV reality show.

“As organisers of the event, we are not regionalist and we have invited Hakeem to come and meet up with his fans this weekend. We believe that those who have been following the Zimbabwean hunk on the reality show will come and meet him in person this weekend.

“We will be proud hosting Mandaza in the city. He did a good job for the country despite the fact that he did not make it up to end of the show.

“Through inviting him to Bulawayo, we are recognising the effort that he put in representing the country and we are grateful that he has agreed to come and join us in Bulawayo, as we celebrate his achievement in being part of the most prestigious reality show in the region,” Sikhonjwa added.

Itai Mandaza, Hakeem’s manager, confirmed his participation in the event. “We are coming to Bulawayo this weekend and we would like to urge people from Bulawayo to come and meet the man-of-the-moment,” he said.
