The $2 million Champions Tour event which has a strong field of 81 players will be contested at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club in Calgary, Canada, from August 26 to September 1.

“This will be my first trip to Calgary and I’m looking forward to visiting the city for the first time and playing in our newest event,” Price who has won four times on the Champions Tour said.

“I’ve competed in Canada many times in my career and have always been impressed with the large, enthusiastic crowds that have come out in support of those events. I know fans in the Calgary area will support the event in great numbers as well.”

The three-time major winner (1994, 1991 PGA Championship and 1994 Open Championship) and International Presidents Cup Team captain this year won 18 times on the PGA Tour and was twice the Tour’s Player of the Year and money leader.

A two-time winner of the Canadian Open, Price was always a fan favourite in Canada during his peak years in the mid 1990s. Injury problems have limited Price’s participation on the Champions Tour this season to just three appearances out of a possible 16 starts.

Price’s first appearance of the season came at the Encompass Championship on June 23 before taking part at the Constellation Senior Players’ Championship a week later and most recently at the 3M Championship which ended on August 4. Despite struggling to challenge for a piece of silverware in all tournaments, Price will be encouraged by the fact that he has managed to finish well within the cutline in all three tournaments he has participated in.
