Rappers, dancers and poets showcased their stuff in front of appreciative revellers who bopped during performances by Young Stan, Maroza, DnB, First-Class, Tootsae, Exclusives, POY and Masimba.

One of the organisers of the show, Leroy Brittain — popularly known as Spinx — expressed satisfaction with Saturday night’s performances. “I thank and respect all who made it tonight, artistes and fans. We thank you for your support, we promise to keep the show going every Friday at the same venue,” Spinx said.

Spinx urged young artistes to take It’s Bigger than Hip-hop platform seriously to develop their stage skills and also to market their music to the public.

“Local hip-hop is not receiving that much appreciation from the society yet. Many have associated the genré with gangsters, thugs and crime. Artistes have to use this platform to express their abilities and that’s the only way they can get their music to the people,” Spinx added.
