Bulawayo, coached by former Zimbabwe international striker and Warriors legend Agent Sawu, were held to a 2-2 draw by Matabeleland South on Monday in Pool A of the competition.

The Midlands, under the tutelage of another international, forward Luke Jukulile Petros, have played the better of Bulawayo after they thumped Matabeleland North 3-0 on Monday in another Pool A match.

The Midlands are currently on top of Pool A with four points after winning against Matabeleland North and the draw against hosts Bulawayo. Holders Mashonaland West continued with their winning ways in Pool B after they edged Manicaland 2-1 yesterday to remain on top of the log standings.

They look set to retain the gold after they dismissed Mashonaland East 4-1 on Monday in another Pool B match.
