After the draw, the Philani “Beefy” How Mine dislodged Shabanie Mine to maintain their 19th round eighth position on the log-table after the asbestos miners were dismissed 0-2 by Black Rhinos at Rimuka Stadium, Kadoma, on Wednesday.

How Mine are now on 28 points from 20 matches while their rivals, Mambas, yesterday also displaced Triangle who beat troubled Motor Action 2-0 in Harare on Wednesday. The police side is now on 26 points after grabbing that point away from home.

Both coaches Beefy and Mambas’ John “Toto” Ncube are confident their sides are on the right track and will survive relegation.

“We had a couple of chances that we were supposed to bury, but we missed them. We are still there. Mambas are good side and it was a good game. It was a positive result for us and we will take it from there as we prepare for our next assignment against Highlanders,” Beefy said.

Black Mambas missed a few chances and the culprit was Evans Gwekwerere, who came in for Tsepo Ranthokoane in the 69th minute.

The first chance of the game came in the 42nd minute when How Mine left-back Khumbulani Banda skied his effort from a brilliant build-up engineered by Menard Mupera who had a good game in the middle of the park.

Gwekwerere miscued his effort in the 81st minute after he shrugged off challenge from How Mine central defender Nelson Tachi and the hosts’ goalkeeper Notice Dube punched away the weak shot for a corner.
