ZiFM Stereo top DJs, Zandile Ndlovu, aka Zaza, and Patience Musa are expected in Bulawayo on Saturday for the launch of Soul Back to the Old Skool music show at a local up-market night spot.

Gibson Ncube, one of the organisers, confirmed the appearance of the two and performances at Horizon Bar, Lounge and Restaurant to Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday.

“Zaza and Musa will be guests on the night we launch the event,” Ncube said.

Zaza, regarded as the “Radio Love Doctor” hosts a show on ZiFM Stereo known as The Handbook, which captivates listeners every Monday to Friday at 1.20pm airing sizzling advice on getting in and staying in relationships.

Apart from being an accomplished DJ for ZiFM Stereo, Musa is a jazz artiste, who began her music career in 1999 working with Mateo Kaunda and Willom Tight on a project — Impressions of Africa and Asambe Africa.

Musa also worked with jazz group The Other Four in 2002 and in 2010 she joined the group Jazz Invitation which she worked with until 2012. Later that year she released her third album Patie.

Currently, Musa has finished working on a 10-track fourth album which is due to be released this year.

In 2001 she shared the main stage at Harare International Festival of the Arts with divas Stella Chiweshe, Busi Ncube and the late Chiwoniso Maraire.

She has travelled regionally and overseas where she has shared the stage with the late Brenda Fassie, Jimmy Dludlu, Sibongile Khumalo, Dorothy Masuka, Hugh Masekela, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and PJ Powers.
