Black will be facing a team that defeated her and her former partner Marina Erakovic 6-2, 6-4 in the final of the Mutua Madrid Open in Madrid on May 11.

In qualifying for the second round, the eighth seeded pair easily brushed aside Kimiko Date-Krumm and Chanelle Scheepers 6-3, 6-3 in the opening round of the tournament on Sunday.

The unseeded pair of Russian Pavlyuchenkova and Czech Republican were stretched by Varvara Lepchenko and Saisai Zheng before eventually winning 5-7, 6-0, 10-6.

Black and Mirza will be looking for their second title together in a space of two weeks after teaming up to clinch the Toray Pan-Pacific Open last Saturday.

The two received $122 000 each for winning the tournament.

If they can go all the way and win the China Open, Black and Mirza, already assured of $14 000 each for reaching the second round, will get $291 000 each.
