Mushekwi, on loan at the Belgian club from Mamelodi Sundowns, is expected to make a return to action this weekend. The 26-year-old’s agent, Ralph Nkomo, told KickOff.com on his recovery.

“He bruised his foot while training by himself and has been out of action since last month. It was not very serious, but we had to take precautions,” Nkomo said.

Nkomo added that Mushekwi was adjusting well to life in Europe. “Ovidy Karuru (a fellow Zimbabwe international) is just 30 minutes drive away from where Nyasha is staying, so he is not lonely,” he said.

“He has settled really well to the lifestyle in Europe. Remember how he scored a goal when the season started? “Winter is coming up, but I do not think it would be difficult for him to adjust because I went for trials in Belgium with him during the winter.”

Meanwhile, Zimbabwean stars will line up for their respective teams this weekend in the Telkom Knockout Cup with the Kaizer Chiefs quartet of striker Knowledge Musona, midfielder Willard Katsande, forwards Mathew Rusike and Kingstone Nkhatha set for a battle against struggling Polokwane City.
