Sithole, How Mine’s leading scorer with six goals, was not part of the squad that beat Hwange 1-0 in a league match at Luveve Stadium last Saturday as he was not feeling well.

Assistant coach Simba Rusike yesterday said the striker, who went for trials with South African side AmaZulu a few months ago, had recovered.

“This will be just another game like any other. We are going to Harare to compete and we have no problem playing any club in Zimbabwe. We have a full squad. Simba is available for selection and he has been training well for the past week,” Rusike said.

Sithole could be partnering Nqobile Mpala (formerly Caps United) and Sizalobuhle Dube, who had a good game and scored the winner against Hwange on Saturday.

Also in camp at How Mine are Timothy January and Thembani Masuku, scorers in the first two stages of the tournament and the gold miners also have in-form Menard Mupera and veteran defenders Hebert Dick and Gilbert Banda.

How Mine will be making another trip to Harare for yet another big match in the country’s richest football tournament and coming from Division One, they have acquitted themselves well in the competition in its third year, beating Black Rhinos 1-0 at Barbourfields Stadium in the first round before stunning holders Dynamos with another 1-0 win in the quarter-finals at Rufaro Stadium.

Caps United will pose yet another tough hurdle for the gold miners, who have come to be known as giant-killers in the PSL after beating Highlanders back-to-back in the league, edging Dynamos 1-0 in the league at Luveve and bundling the champions out of the Mbada Cup.

The Green Machine are the only big club in the country that How Mine have failed to beat, losing 1-2 in April at Luveve and 0-1 a fortnight ago at the National Sports Stadium in the reverse league fixture.
