BULAWAYO Sports and Recreation Commission co-ordinator Sam Dzvimbu says all is set for the provincial Youth Education through Sport (YES) games to be played on November 23.

Dzvimbu yesterday said the entire district should be ready with their teams by Saturday as the Bulawayo Metropolitan Province prepares for the national games to be hosted by Masvingo from December 4-8.
Masvingo hosts the 2013 YES Festival by virtue of being the province that will host next year’s National Youth Games.
Khami, Reigate, Mzilikazi and Bulawayo Central make up the districts that will be taking part in the provincial games on November 23.
“Districts have started their cluster games and we hope that by Saturday they will be having teams to take part in the provincials. So far Khami have rounded off their games. Mzilikazi are expected to finish off on Saturday and I am not sure of these other two districts, but what I know is that by Saturday they will be ready for the provincials,” Dzvimbu said.
During the YES district workshops conducted last month in the four districts, 107 teams from different sporting disciplines registered to take part in the games with an estimated number of over 2 000 individuals geared for the games.
