DJ Fresh will grace Horizon Bar and Restaurant in an event dubbed “Short and Shades Summer Take-off” party, organised by 3D Events.

Mduduzi Mdlongwa of 3D Events confirmed DJ Fresh’s performance to Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday in an interview.

“The show will start at 2pm with a pool party with the South African. Everything is in place now and we are raring to go, everything has been cleared,” Mdlongwa said.

“The party is for people to relax, enjoy and take the steam off the long year,” he continued.

Mdlongwa added that the dress code will be shorts and shades to make people enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere.

The eventful day will include braai, grilling, pool party, photoshoots and Press conference with the South African Disc jockey.

The energetic South African DJ will be supported by ZI FM Stereo DJs T-Base and P-Styles, Keezy, Black Cee, Slimzah Wa Afrika, Twist and Nospah.

The spinner, born Thato Sikwane in 1972, has delighted house music lovers for over a decade, first with his Fresh House Flava series before the more authoritative Definition of House albums which have brought him world-wide acclaim.

He dropped law studies and pursued radio full-time, joining YFM in 1997.

Fresh was heading up the YFM breakfast team by 2003 and was quickly snapped up by 5FM in 2006 where the Fresh Drive has since become a 5FM institution as well as one of the station’s most popular shows.
