Fans were treated to good hip-hop at the event dubbed “Rhyme Assassin Welcome Back Party.”

Rhyme Assassin took to the stage with his partner in rhymes, T9nyce at around 11:30pm.

The two belted out tracks such as Tyoka and others.

Their songs appealed to everyone in the club as they staged Shona, English and Ndebele pieces.

The UK-based musician said it was good to come back home and meet other local artists.

“It was a good show and also meeting fans and other artistes after a long time. I thank everyone who managed to come regardless of the cold weather,” Rhyme Assassin said.

The musician will also stage another show in Harare.

The two shows are expected to pave way for the musician’s album launch, in Bulawayo and Harare respectively, in December. “The 26-track double CD album titled The Grand Synopsis will feature songs in English, Ndebele and Shona, as a way to reach to a wider audience,” Rhyme Assassin added.

The musician has featured renowned artistes such as Good Child, Prometeus, Vanessa and Trevor Dongo among others on some of the songs.

There were several supporting artistes during the night, among them Kasi Lami Art Platform (Klap).

Polite Sithole, popularly known as P2daoh, the producer of Klap was happy with the performance of his team.

“It was a good performance and I thank the people who came out in their numbers,” he said.

It was a hype of activity as more than five performers graced the stage in an almost fully packed night spot.

Klap, the Zimbabwe hip-hop best group nominee, was the first to grace the stage with their act which was received well by the patrons.

It performed songs like their hit tack Make them Klap and others.

POY also put up an energetic performance with people singing along to his tracks Yebbo and Cake up.

Other performers who contributed were Beezy Raps, Young Stan and PMDee, before Rhyme Assassin took to the stage.
