This year’s edition of the competition which started in May, is expected to end early next year.

Competition captain Kwangwari Kwangwari confirmed the trip to Botswana yesterday.

“We will be playing our second away game at Tantebane Resort Adventurous Club in Botswana on Saturday and Sunday. We have two away games each season and we played our first at Leopard Rock Golf Club in Mutare in September.

“The reason we are playing away In Botswana is because we want to get the chance to interact with golfers from Botswana. It is the chance for us golfers to network,” he said.

Kwangwari said they were expecting the golfers to travel to Botswana because the game would be very crucial.

“The winners will get prizes and the game is important because the winners will get double points in the Mbada Golf Society Order of Merit,” he said.

He said 20 golfers who include Matabeleland Golf Association president Mufaro Chivonivoni, Brian Sanangurai, Reimer Hamann, football legend Ebson “Sugar” Muguyo, Maxwell Mudonhi, Joseph Mushaka, Arthur Ngangira, Winston Mutasa and Linda Rubaya have confirmed participation.

Winner of the 10th game of the season that was played at Harry Allen Golf Club on November 24, Givens Hapadziwi, is also expected to take part.
