BMPDA vice-chairman Jackson Ndimande said: “On Wednesday (today), we are going to have our end of season individual and teams awards ceremony. Initially we had agreed that the event would be held in Barham Green (BG), but due to certain circumstances we have since opted for Archers Sports Club,” Ndimande said.

Archers, Railstars and Old Nic Mine Darts Club finished in position one to three respectively in the Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Darts league.

Archers finished the season unbeaten to claim the championship and for that they are guaranteed gold medals for all players.

For coming second, Railstars will get silver medals for all the players while Old Nic Mine will also be awarded with bronze medals.

Also at stake will be the awards for cup games and so far the association had five tournaments this season and these involve the Chairman’s singles, doubles and trips, the Legend’s singles and doubles.

Ndimande added that this year’s league was interesting although it proved to be a one horse race because one player managed a highest close which is something difficult to achieve in the game of darts.

“Archers finished the league unbeaten to win the championship. This season was interesting, we have a player who managed highest close,” Ndimande said.
