Five top-class acts would be expected to serenade scores of guests invited for the red-carpet function.

Okay Machisa, the national director of ZimRights told Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday performers on the awards nights would include Cool Crooners, Albert Nyathi, Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave, Jah Prayzah and Kaisa Dance Group.

“All these musicians are top acts and we feel their performance at the night of the awards would crown a ceremony to remember. The Cool Crooners have been in the music industry for many years and it would be an honour to have such a respected group perform during our international human rights wards night gala,” Machisa said.

Three female artists, Priscilla Sithole, Edith Katiji and Yvonne Bosha have been shortlisted for the outstanding human rights artist of the year while Poets for Human Rights, Bulawayo visual artist Owen Maseko and Lloyd Mujuru are all in the running for the outstanding human rights artist of the year.
