Saturday will see the top-of-the-log clashes in both women and men’s leagues while position three and four clash in the men’s category.

“The games have a bearing on the outcome of the championship especially in the men’s category where the top four teams clash. We had a very interesting first half so we are hoping for the best second half as well,” Pangwana said.

In the men’s league, at Nothlea High School, Highlanders will be hoping to maintain their lead as they take on Unicorns in the top-of-the-table clash while Unicorns will be fighting to remove their opponents from the top spot.

Highlanders finished the first half of the season leading the pack on 19 points after winning nine and losing only one of their 10 matches, a point ahead of runners-up Unicorns.

Unicorns will then take on Stars in their second match of the day at Milton High School. The action will also continue at Northlea as Mavericks who went to the break on position five with 16 points will face third-placed Kings who are on position three with 17 points, while Giants will take on Lords. Giants who are on fourth place with 17 points, trailing Kings on average, will be hoping for two points to catch up with the t log leaders.

The venue for the match between ALCC and Milton will be announced on Saturday, while Kaos will clash with Oilers at Northlea.

In the women’s category Lakers who are yet to taste defeat, winning all of their seven matches and going to the break leading the pack on 14 points, will lock horns with Ihlathi Hawks.

Hawks and Highlanders are tied on 10 points after losing four and winning three of their games each and the win against log leaders will revive their chances of winning the league.

Meanwhile, the match between Highlanders and Mavericks has been postponed following a request by Highlanders who have most of their players out of town.
