Head coach Sipho Mahlangu said they had started preparations for the league and they were eager to make their presence felt as the preseason favourites.

They took part in the beginning of the season tournament in Gweru last week and came second after Harare-based PS Alliance.

“We have started preparations for the league and we are hoping to do our best in the league. Although the league starts in March, we decided to start early so that we can polish up our team. We are also preparing the team for the schools handball games that are coming next term,” Mahlangu said.

The Matabeleland South-school approaches the season pinning their hopes on seasoned players like Nichole Ndou, Advocate Ndlovu, Munyaradzi Sithole and Pascal Ndlovu who were outstanding in the tournament that was held in Gweru.
