WARRIORS’ sensation Kuda Mahachi has confirmed that he is yet to sign a deal with any club. HENRY MHARA SPORTS REPORTER
It had been suggested that he had penned a five year deal with South African moneybags Mamelodi Sundowns and loaned out to Highlanders.
But Bosso has also said there was no deal between them and the Bantu Rovers player who is seemingly holding out for a more lucrative deal to French big spenders Monaco after his impressive show for the Warriors during the recent African Nations Championships in South Africa.
Speaking to our sister paper NewsDay Sport soon after touching down at the Harare International Airport from Johannesburg on Monday night, Mahachi said his future is likely to be decided this week.
“I have been reading these reports in the newspapers but the truth is I haven’t signed for any team.”
“I understand there are a number of clubs that are interested in my services but they are talking to my manager (Methembe Ndlovu). I also don’t know the teams who have formally approached him and how far the negotiations have gone. I am only going to know about that when I arrive in Bulawayo, probably on Wednesday (today),” he added.
“I would prefer to go to Europe but my next move will depend on the offers on the table. My manager will help me on that one.”
The gingered hair midfielder, who played for Chicken Inn last season, also spoke of the Warriors fine run at the Chan where they reached the semi-finals.

“The tournament was a chance for all of us to showcase our talents and I am happy to see that the supporters appreciate it. We really appreciate that as well. The aim was to go all the way and win the cup but we were just unfortunate to lose in the semi-final.
“It was very painful to lose like that (against Libya on penalties) because we were clearly the better side and deserved to go through. We were just unfortunate,” Mahachi said.
“Most people think I was the main man, but for me I think it was a team effort and I must thank my teammates, the supporters and the coaches for helping me all the way. Without them I couldn’t have done that. I think I did well and I am very happy with my performances, but I know I can do better than that. I am just hoping the coach will continue to give me the chance to express myself,” he added.
Another player who was outstanding for the team at the tournament is defender and captain Patson Jaure.
He also gave his assessment of the Warriors’ performance.
“Had we beaten Libya in the semi-finals I think we were going to lift the cup. The team was incredible and I am happy that I was captain of the team that made history. It was a landmark achievement for both the team and it is something that I will remember for the rest of my life. I must thank the players, the coaches and the supporters for making that to happen. I was not expecting to see all these supporters here at the airport. It shows that people here were behind us and I want to thank them on behalf of the team,” said Jaure who is being linked with a move to SuperSport United of South Africa said.
