CALL it a sabbatical or what; the cash crunch is biting everywhere.

Following their relegation from the Premier Soccer League last season, Tripple B will not be returning to the Central Region Division One league this season.

Club president Edward Kanyangu confirmed that his club has folded-at least for now-citing financial constraints.

“This season we will be inactive. We are facing financial constraints at the moment. We have given all our players clearances so that they can go and play elsewhere, but those who still have running contracts with us will come back when we regroup next year.

“I would have loved to see the team in action this season, but unfortunately we did not get the much needed support from stakeholders.

“But I can also confirm that we will be coming back next season and we will be playing in Division One, even if there is no place for us we will source funds so that we get a franchise,” Kanyangu said.

Tripple B has been replaced by Chapungu in the PSL.
