A NORTHEND woman in Bulawayo who stripped half naked at the Sauerstown Police Station in protest against her father’s detention following his arrest for an alleged assault case, was last week cautioned and discharged by the Bulawayo Magistrates’ Court over her conduct. STAFF REPORTER

Rebecca Nkomo (22) appeared before Bulawayo senior magistrate Abednico Ndebele facing a charge of public indecency and was warned, cautioned, discharged and advised never to behave in a similar manner in public.

Nkomo was arrested after she went to the police station where her father Misheck Nkomo had been detained to protest against his arrest.

On arrival, she was ordered to move out of the station by police officers manning the charge office, but she refused. She then suddenly stripped exposing her breast and stomach.

She became wild and ran to the main gate and outside along Athlone Avenue. She was arrested by two policewomen who pursued her along the street.
