The event, to be held at Club Forty-40, is ranked the biggest DJ “clash” this year and will offer a taste of what Zimbabwe has in terms of talent on the turntables.
The event will bring together some of the upcoming, underground and best Djs who specialise in different genrés.
Speaking to the Southern Eye Lifestyle, Entertainment manager for Club Forty-40, Sibanengi Dube, aka DJ Mzoe, said the main reason for the event was to blend in and mix DJs so as to get a chance to showcase their talents during the night.
“We will mix upcoming and old DJs on the day so that each may get a chance to showcase the talents they have,” he said.
DJ Mzoe said thirty DJs will perform on the day.
Eight DJS would be provided with eight decks and given thirty minutes to showcase their respective talents.
“Eight DJs will be given an opportunity to play what they have to showcase and in that thirty minutes, the DJs will play different genrés like Zim dance which is now popular, then the other set of eight DJs will enter after the thirty minutes’ time they are given and play a different genré like naija, house, raggae and hip-hop,” he added.
