The GameCox scored through Canaan Nkomo, Mkhokheli Dube and Ishmael Lawe.

Their rivals on Sunday were thumped 1-5 by Hwange at the Colliery on the first day of the season.

It was a good start for head coach Joey Antipas who took over from Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu towards the end of the season and the former Motor Action gaffer says they should just keep focused.

“It’s a good start, but we just have to keep our feet on the ground and maintain our focus and go there with a positive mindset. We have a clean bill of a health save for Passmore Bernard who has an ankle injury, but he has started training and could be up for selection next week,” Antipas said.

Chicken Inn have Warriors star midfielder Danny “Deco” Phiri, Bheki Ncube, Tendai Mukambi, with a strong defence that has Charles Mutero, the evergreen Brian Mbiriri, Moses Jackson and Ben Nyahunzvi.

Thabani Goredema, George Majika, Toto Banda and Thomas Chimenya are in the team.

Buffaloes coach Luke Masomere said he was not reading much into Sunday’s loss, but was worried about low morale in camp due to some administrative issues that he was not at liberty to reveal.

“When you lose one game, the first one, it is not a bad start. I am not very much worried about that. We have put that behind our back and we are concentrating on the work at hand, but morale is low in camp due to some administrative problems. Otherwise we are raring to go,” Masomere said.
