The event was curtain raised by Bulawayo-based disc jockeys Ash T, Mzoe, Humble kid, Phibz, Fritz and Sean Milia.

The Red Fox Family Sound opened after midnight with the late reggae legend Bob Marley’s Don’t Worry About A Thing.

The Red Fox family Sound was backed by Do Izy Vybz who spun the wheels first with old school international reggae.

DJ Izy Vybz later played Jamaican dancehall music.

The show ended with the song Seu Nononga by one of Zimbabwe’s dancehall artistes Guspy Warrior which left fans still craving for more of their “pure niceness” music which kept everyone awake at Club Forty-40. Speaking to the Southern Eye Lifestyle, Club Forty-40 entertainment manager Sibanengi Ndebele, aka DJ Mzoe, said the show was a success, pointing out at the huge turnout.

“The show was a success. Many people came to the show which is good and I am happy that there are many people who support the local arts. You cannot stop learning from this music industry, you learn new things all the time,” he added.

Leader of Red Fox Family sound, Robert Zhuwao, said he was so happy to see a lot of people who support Zimbabwe dance hall and reggae.

“The show was exciting and l enjoyed very much. But I want to urge youths not to take drugs. We are working on a project in Bulawayo to educate the artistes about dangers of using drugs.”
