The dinner is set to be held at a hotel with Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment minister Francis Nhema and Bulawayo Provincial affairs minister Eunice Sandi Moyo gracing the event.

JNNF chief executive officer Jabulani Hadebe said the dinner was aimed at raising funds for major renovations at the Joshua Nkomo Museum.

“The main aim for the upcoming event is to generate funds for renovations of the Joshua Nkomo Museum. As it is, we want to put up additional structures at the museum and spruce the garden so that the Zimbabwe community can make use of the garden for various purposes,” Hadebe said.

Hadebe said the Mqabuko Gardens would also host exclusive and world-class events, including corporate functions, conferences, weddings and parties.

Hadebe urged members of the public to support the event.

The museum, located at Nkomo’s former house in Matsheumhlophe, Bulawayo, was established in 2011 in a bid to perpetuate the legacy of the late veteran nationalist.

The museum is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental and non-sectarian initiative managed by board of trustees of the foundation.
