The disc jockey who runs a fashion brand titled Sound Driven Africa Fashion has vowed to link fashion and music. DJ-Tune-master “It started as Sound Driven back in 2004 in Gwanda where I used to play at Riverdance Club. I later got inspired by music and I loved the mixture of music and designing, put together and being a proud African, I called it Sound Driven Africa Fashion,” said DJ Tunemaster.

DJ Tunemaster has a number of collections under his label with the recent one — Made in Zim T-shirts — earning him recognition nationwide.

“The Made in Zim T-shirt collection was inspired by being part of an educated nation that has overcome a lot of things and we have kept going heads up high. It is all about how creative we are. We have come up with our local clothing lines as young Zimbabweans. We are proud of where we come from and that’s how the collection came to be,” he said.

The wheel-spinner said he had no qualms in juggling music and fashion.

“Usually during the week I concentrate on production and weekends I am on the decks. I take advantage of gigs to sell my products to fans and also taking orders,” DJ Tunemaster added.

The disc jockey has played at Windermere, Club Alabama, Riverdance Club in Gwanda and Cavas House in Beitbridge.

He is now based in Gweru where he has been working with Club Uptown and Crazy 8, among others.
