The exhibition showcasing Nkomo’s life through photographs is aimed at fundraising for the commemoration of the nationalist’s July 1 death anniversary.
This year’s celebrations will run under the theme “Healing the Nation”.
One of the organisers Sinqobile Ndlovu said they were ready for the exhibition and urged Bulawayo residents to support the initiative.
“We are ready for the exhibition. We are calling upon invited members to come and support us as we fundraise for this year Umdala Wethu commemorations,” she said.
“The exhibition is expected to raise a significant amount that would help us host this year’s event and it make it a success.”
The annual commemorations seek to keep Father Zimbabwe’s vision to take a step towards building a country that is prosperous and at peace with itself, in the continent and the world at large.
