The match will be screened live on SuperSport 9 at 3pm.

Both teams will go into the match without their head coaches due to the ongoing Caf A Licence course that is taking place in Harare.

The coal miners have head coach Nation Dube (pictured) and Mebelo Njekwa at the course leaving Brian Njobvu and goalkeepers’ coach Chenjerai Dube to take charge of today’s match.

Tembo Chuma will be in the hot seat for ZPC Kariba as Saul Chaminuka and his deputy Godfrey Tamirepi  are attending the course.

ZPC Kariba remains the only unbeaten team in the league with four wins and nine draws while Hwange are fourth with six wins, four draws and three losses.

Hwange slipped down to position four with 22 points from 13 games following Sunday’s 1-2 loss to Caps United, which came on the back of a 0-1 home loss to Chicken Inn two weeks ago. ZPC Kariba are on position six with 21 points from the same number of games.

Chaminuka said despite his absence he was confident that the team could get positive results although they face a tough challenge ahead.

Following the opening of the mid-season transfer period on Tuesday, Chaminuka said they were hoping to make a few additions to their squad.

“I need two strikers. I also need two midfielders who are playmakers. Our playmaker Raphael Manuvire is injured and will be out for a long time,” he said.

Should Hwange win, they will go to the top of the log table, but will be eagerly waiting for the outcome of the matches pitting third-placed Caps United who clash with Chicken Inn at Luveve Stadium on Saturday.

Their eyes will also be on the derby clash between log leaders Highlanders and How Mine at Barbourfields Stadium as well as the Dynamos clash against Black Rhinos at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
