Triangle head coach Biggie Zuze said he was happy with his project, adding that he was looking forward to the reverse fixture against Chapungu next weekend at Ascot.
“I want to give credit to my boys. They played very well, but we failed to utilise our chances mainly in the first half and we missed two clear opportunities. We are hoping to continue with our fine form, this is the fifth match without conceding a defeat,” he said.
His counterpart John Nyikadzino blamed match officiating for the defeat.
“It is always difficult to play away from home especially when you visit Chiredzi and Triangle. Anyway we are now looking forward for a return fixture against them,” he said.
Triangle dominated in the first half with fierce raids, but they failed to turn their dominance into goals. In the 62th minute Chapungu defender Charles Murisa hacked Tatenda Tsuro down from behind just outside the box and Bikita referee Arnold Ncube awarded a free-kick.
