OLD Nic Mine continued to find the going tough in the Zifa Southern Region Division One League after losing their 13th match of the season going down 2-3 to Hwange Under-20 in Hwange on Saturday.

It was a good result for the Hwange Under-20 side as they were victorious over former Premier Soccer League side Quelaton winning 2-1 last week.

Doubt Shoko, Courage Sibanda and Tryemmanuel Kurimbawo were on target for Hwange Under-20 with Old Nic getting their goals from Nkosilathi Banda and Never Dube.

Old Nic are struggling to get the results as they have only managed three points to date picked up from three draws.

However, goals from Zuda Chiwetu and Ray Lunga ensured maximum points for Plumtree Chiefs against Mpumalanga at White City Stadium on Saturday.

Plumtree Chiefs are fourth on the log standings with 22 points from 13 games while Mpumalanga is on position 11 with 10 points from 10 games.

In another match played on Saturday, Portland Cement played a goalless draw against Technosphere at Portland Cement.

Despite the draw Technosphere are top of the log standings with 26 points from 13 games while Portland Cement are second from the bottom of the log table with seven points from 10 games.

Portland Cement have only managed one win, four draws and five losses while Technosphere have won seven matches, five draws and one loss.

It was a weekend of draws as the matches pitting ZPC Hwange and Black Boots, Tsholotsho and New West as well as Trumus and Quelaton ended in goalless draws.
