Bosso beat Bantu Rovers 4-2 early this month and will be aiming at continuing from where they left off in the first half of the season.

Bantu Rovers were the better team on the day they played Bosso and Tshintsha Guluva could be in the reckoning for maximum points today.

They are second from the bottom of the log with 14 points from 15 matches.

Coach Methembe Ndlovu conceded this week that they had to start picking points for them to move up the standings.

“We have to stop what we were doing wrong. We were playing well, but we were not scoring. Now we have to focus and have a positive outlook. We have a number of players that will not be in the team,” he said.

Bantu Rovers will be without key player Obadiah Tarumbwa who is serving a one-match suspension for accumulating three yellow cards.

However, they still have Johannes Ngodzo who returns to the top-flight after a long rest to add the experience that the team needs and will probably combine well with juniors who include Tafadzwa Kutinyu, Bukhosi Sibanda, Teenage Hadebe with Nqobizitha Masuku and Proud Zireni also making the team.

Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu said Bosso have to avoid complacency if they are to win today’s match.

Bosso played second fiddle to the youthful Bantu Rovers side and they were too relaxed in their defence which gave away the two goals.

Highlanders are chasing the championship which has eluded them for the past three seasons.

Bosso lost the championship in 2012 and 2013 to Dynamos through goal difference. Despite not having the best strikers in the land, they have scored the most number of goals.

Highlanders are out to consolidate their lead on the log as they lead the standings by three points.

Charles Sibanda has been on target several times for the former champions and Bosso will be looking to him, Gabriel Nyoni, Ozias Zibane and Knox Mutizwa to get the goals.
