The City of Progress, as Gweru is popularly known will also be playing host to the Agricultural Show and artistes are literally rubbing their hands in glee in anticipation of cashing in on the extravaganza.

The show opened yesterday and ends on Sunday.

Tonight Knox, Tocky Vybz, Shinsoman, Seh Calaz, Soul Jah Love, Mickey Roller and Gweru’s Yulesis will stage a show at Liquid Lounge – formerly Musopero Gardens.

Tomorrow at the Midlands Hotel dancehall sensation, Winky D will lead a troop in the genré including Freeman, Guspy Warrior and Terminator at a performance dubbed the Zim Dancehall Summer Splash.

“Dancehall fans should expect nothing but fireworks from the cream of Zimbabwe’s dancehall,” Midlands Hotel general manager Ricky Dabvu said.

Dancehall kings will be supported by upcoming artistes, Legion, Tatman, Pin 50, Young Hope, Judah B, Jah Blessed and Mr Flirt.

Sungura giant Nicholas Madzibaba “Senior Lecturer” Zakaria and his Khiama boys will belt it out at Salaco City Nite club on the same day (Saturday).

At the showgrounds Shinsoman would perform tomorrow with gospel sensation, Mathias Mhere, wrapping it up on Sunday to close the entertainment galore.
