Miss P told Southern Eye Lifestyle she seeks to inspire other local female DJs to take up the mic at a higher level.

DJ Miss P, who has been a DJ for two years, has promised fireworks to her fans.

She said she wanted to set an example and inspire other local female DJs to stand up and showcase their talents.

Miss P has had gigs at different parts of the country such as Gweru, Kwekwe, Harare and Beitbridge andhas gone as far as Botswana.

“I host gigs at different parts of the country and outside the country and l do music like house, Zim dancehall, naija, Zim hip-hop and this time l will stage my debut performance at Club Forty-40 with something different – a surprise to the patrons,” she said.

“It’s now or never! Let’s wear the pants and take charge.

“There is nothing to be afraid of. If l can do can you.”

Local artistes and DJs would be at hand to back DJ Miss P up. These include DJs Ally Touch, Humble Kid, Lady Carol and Mzoe.

Meanwhile,Club Forty-40 entertainment manager Sibanengi Ndebele, aka DJ Mzoe, said it was the first time the joint would host a female DJ, pointing out that they used to host male DJs only.

He said bringing in a female DJ into the club was a form of gender balance and they would be hoping to bring in more female DJs.
