A Nigerian magazine has nominated Bulawayo’s Gilmore Tee Moyo as one of 30 remarkable young African “doers” under the age of 30.

NONHLANHLA SIBANDA OWN CORRESPONDENT Founded by Nigerian social entrepreneur Yinka Brand, Remarkable30 is an annual publication where young Africans share secrets of their success.

It is a project of Be Remarkable Africa, a social movement challenging Africans everywhere to not only make a difference in the world, but to also do something extraordinary.

The founder and manager of Deck Magazine and Hunnar Management Agency, Moyo, was elated at the news.

“Every time I get mentions and acknowledgements from out of the country on my work, it always humbles me. I love it when people really appreciate my work.

“I do what I do because I have the breath to do so and passion, and if it leads to benefit positively, it is a huge bonus,” Moyo told Southern Ete Lifestyle yesterday.

Moyo manages Fashion Designer Shadow By Sidumiso, who recently showcased at the Durban fashion fair in South Africa, Accessory Designer BlinQ Xclusive Jewellery, Fashionista/Public Figure Mbo Mahocs, International Model Tholakele Dlamini, International Disc Jockey Sonny Jermain and Kead Wikead.

He has worked with international organisations such as United Nations Education and Scientific Organisation and Alliance Française dé Bulawayo.

Moyo hosted the CoFFashion Pop Up, a creative flea market on August 30, where unique effects by local designers were showcased. They were sold at the National Gallery in Bulawayo sponsored by Deck Magazine and the Coca-Cola company.
