Fool’s Paradise was written by award winner Fortune Tazvivinga and directed by Vince Ngwenya and co-produced by Percy Soko.

A fusion of love and tragedy, the 75-minute film features local actors Soko, Xenier Dlomo, Tony Sibanda, Leroy Ndlovu and Delicacy Ngulube.

The film vividly explores the story of two love birds that are twins but were separated when they were still babies.

One twin grew up in a family of doctors while the other second was dumped and ends up a mechanic and painter.

At the climax of the film, the family of the doctor want their daughter to be married to a doctor not a mechanic, but no one could stop their love.

But when they finally findout they were twins, the female twin, who is now pregnant, leaves the country while the male twin dies.

The female twin comes back home to make peace with her father and to attend the funeral of her mother.

Speaking to the Sothern Eye Lifestyle, the co-producer of the film said, the film is in the final stages of editing.

“The shooting of the film is done and we are still editing it.

“The film was shot in Bulawayo and it teaches us about infidelity, love and our culture.

“It explores the love that was a perfect relationship and what could have gone wrong to a perfect love ,” he said.

The film features decorated actress and television personality Nyasha “Diva” Mtamangira whose strong background in the film industry is impressive.
