This is what the five-member Bulawayo-based Jade band would be doing at the Selbourne Hotel this Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, the band is scheduled to start at 5:30pm and at 2pm on Saturday. On both days, the show will be free to the patrons.

Obert Chunda, band manager and bass guitarist told Southern Eye Lifestyle that the group which is to release a six-track album in December, is a collection of seasoned jazz performers that want their music to be enjoyed by all jazz lovers.

“We would want to see people enjoy great jazz. People should come, relax and enjoy good jazz,” he said.

The group was formed three years ago and has been playing at different shows, corporate functions and wedding parties including in Botswana.

Jade intends to take their music to all countries in Southern Africa and beyond. The jazz group comprises of Chaunda on the bass guitar and vocals. Harry Gwaze has a unique flair on the lead guitar. Duncan Matongo hits the drums and sings.

Steven Manyota is a specialist on the keyboard and Farai Mugaza does lead vocals.
