Mbada Golf Society is a competition that is played over a year with participants accumulating points at the end of each game.

At the end of the 2014 to 2015 season, the golfer who comes on top of the final order of merit will be crowned champion and wins the green jacket.

Competition convener Kwangwari Kwangwari confirmed the trip to Southern Eye Sport yesterday.

“Preparations for our away game in Botswana are underway,” he said.

“We already have quite a number of golfers who have confirmed that they will travel for the games. We are still hoping that other golfers will also confirm.

“The reason why we will be travelling to Botswana is because it is in our constitution that we play an away game every season. We want golfers to have a feel of a different course.”

The competition interchanges between Harry Allen, Bulawayo Country Club and Bulawayo Golf Club.

Maxwell Mudonhi won the sixth game of the season that was played at Harry Allen Golf Club on September 21.

The 2014 to 2015 season is expected to end in March next year. Last year 20 members travelled for the away game which was played at the same venue in December.

Wishes Nyoni, Matabeleland Golf Association president Mufaro Chivonivoni, Kwangwari, Brian Sanangurai, Joseph Mushaka, Jonathan Moyo, Winston Mutasa, Reimer Hamann and Linda Rubaya are some of the golfers who travelled to Botswana.
