ELEVEN people are feared dead in Kwekwe, while many others sustained serious injuries reportedly after a stampede at Prophet Walter Magaya’s Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries crusade at Mbizo Stadium.
Magaya was holding an all-night prayer crusade when the incident happened.
Details of the tragedy are still sketchy but witnesses gave different accounts of what transpired.
Witnesses said the incident happened as a result of stampede to get the anointing oil, while some said it came after police shut all exit points and left only one hence the stampede.
Unconfirmed reports claim police fired teargas, triggering the stampede.
