CELEBRATED South African DJ Christos Katsaitis invades Bulawayo’s night life when he performs at Eden Night Club before an expected full house in the run-up to the festive season. NONHLANHLA SIBANDA OWN CORRESPONDENT
In an Interview with Woza Weekend yesterday, promoter Gordon Imbayago, who is also Eden’s resident DJ, confirmed that the spin deck and music maestro would jet into the city today.
“All is set at the club and Christos will jet in tomorrow (today) afternoon,” he said.
“It has been a long time since he performed in Bulawayo and we are all excited to have him at the club.
“Those who came to his last show in the city will know how he rocks and will remember how they left at 10am.
Those who have not seen him perform can be assured that it will be a good show and Christos will bring the house down.”
The show will start at 8pm till morning. It will also feature resident DJs Kananjo, Keezy and Slammah. Patrons are encouraged to dress up and the doors will open at 7pm.

DJ Christos is one of South Africa’s longest-spinning and certainly very influential house producer/DJs and has two albums, Wicked Sounds Volume 1 and Spiritual Journey.
He was one of the founders of Kalawa Jazmee, which is now directed by Bulawayo-born house music legend Oscar “Oskido” Mdlongwa.
Through his own Katsaitis Music, DJ Christos has produced some of South Africa’s most groundbreaking artistes, including Boom Shaka, Lebo Mathosa, Shana, Daw and Black Coffee.
As a producer, he had worked on classics like Boom Shaka’s Free, DJs At Work’s Hey DJ and Shana’s 2008 smash hit Uyangchomela.
DJ Christos produces deep Afro-funk alongside Vinny Da Vinci as DJs At Work and they won a South African Music Awards accolade in 1998 for best dance album and has won four statutes.
