The track Vana veAfrica was released last Saturday and produced by Calvin of Volte Face Records in the high- density suburb of Luveve, Bulawayo.
The song welcomes African youths to Zimbabwe with love and invites them to enjoy the peace prevailing in the country.
It talks of how football, netball, swimming and many other sporting disciplines would be played.
Calvin said the song was all about the beauty of the nation and its pride. He said the song expressed the duo’s excitement about Bulawayo hosting the games.
“Gibson Ncube (radio personality) suggested we do a collaboration for the games and I reached out to Mbo Mahocs, whom I thought had the required energy for such,” said Calvin..
“When we went to the studio, everyone got involved in the writing and we came up with something that highlights how beautiful and peaceful Zimbabwe is.”
