SOME of Africa’s top musicians are set to clash at the Buyel’Ekhaya annual ultimate Pan-African Music Festival at Buffalo Cricket Stadium in East London, South Africa, on December 21.

The event organised by South Africa’s Buyel’Ekhaya in partnership with the Buffalo City Municipality will feature 11 artistes. The inspirational Zimbabwean music superstar Oliver Mtukudzi, Congolese rhumba star Papa Wemba, South Africa’s Ray Phiri of Stimela and the iconic groove-masters Trompies will headline the sixth annual event.

The most highly sought-after Mafikizolo, Zahara and the Soil are all set to light up Buffalo City.

Zimbabwean guitarist Berita and the energetic outfit Uhuru will take to the stage while the legendary DJ Ganyani and prolific DJ Tira will blaze the decks. Ten years after her tragic death, the show will pay tribute to Brenda Fassie.
