HARARE — National Foods, an associate of Innscor Holdings and one of the largest manufacturers and marketers of food products in Zimbabwe and the southern Africa region, has appointed Michael Lashbrook as chief executive (CEO), the company said yesterday.

Lashbrook had been acting in the position since the retirement of Jeremy Brooke in October last year. Prior to his elevation, he was the company’s chief operations officer since August 2008.

“His entire working career has been spent in the agricultural sector and agri-industrial sectors, including a role as production director in an export horticulture and integrated wholesale beef operation prior joining NFHL,” the company said.

As acting CEO, Lashbrook last year told shareholders at the company’s annual general meeting that National Foods was planning to spend $8,3 million in 2015, with nearly 50% of that being spent on expansion.
