JOHANNESBURG – He has been nominated for six years in a row in the Metro FM awards in the same category.
But he has always lost to other artistes. Now he believes his time has come.
Kwaito artiste L’vovo Derrango, who has been nominated for best kwaito at the upcoming awards is going through the same cycle again.
But this time he is more determined than ever to walk away with the award.
Speaking to Daily Sun, he said that no one would stand between him and the award this year.
The event is set to take place on February 28 at Inkosi Albert International Convention Centre in Durban. He has been nominated for his latest album The Boss alongside the legendary Trompies and Thebe.
“With all due respect to the artistes that I’m nominated in the same category with, this award is surely mine. I have worked very hard on this offering. I have dished out all the needed ingredients of pure kwaito music. I also have the home ground advantage as the event will be in my home town, Durban,” he said.
