BOTSWANA champions Township Rollers have welcomed back head coach Madinda Ndlovu ahead of their crunch first leg preliminary round tie of the Orange Caf Champions League tie against South African giants Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

FORTUNE MBELE SPORTS REPORTER Rollers suffered successive defeats to Police XI (0-1) on January 17, Ndlovu’s former club Mochudi Centre Chiefs (0-1) on January 31 and (0-2) to BDF XI last Friday in the Botswana be Mobile Premier Soccer League, while the former Warriors and Highlanders gaffer was back home attending the Caf ‘A’ Licence coaching course in Harare.

With the three defeats, Rollers ceded the top spot to Mochudi in the Botswana top league in which Ndlovu is eyeing a fourth consecutive title.

The three losses were a blow to their confidence against Amakhosi on Saturday.

However, Rollers’ hopes rest on the return of Ndlovu as they look forward to meeting the South African giants on Saturday.

“After completion of the two-week session of the Caf ‘A’ Licence in Harare, our head coach has resumed training the team from today (February 10 2015), preparing the squad for the Caf Champions League Preliminary round fixture on February 15 2015,” reads the Rollers official website rollersfc.com.

If they make it into the Kaizer Chiefs squad, fellow Zimbabweans Willard Katsande, Ovidy Karuru and Mathew Rusike could be up against the veteran coach at the FNB Stadium, in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Saturday and the match will definitely arouse interest from a number of Zimbabwe football fans in South Africa.

Soon after the draw in December last year, Ndlovu said he was not worried about Kaizer Chiefs.

“We are not worried about our opponents, they are unbeaten in their domestic league and we are unbeaten in our league,” Ndlovu told this publication back then, before his side lost three matches in the league in his absence.

“It is a match that requires a lot of research for both teams.”
