Speaking to Southern Eye Lifestyle, Ncube and his wife Nelsy, who are the general manager and operations manager respectively, said they were happy to be working with the people of Kadoma.

“We have always enjoyed working with the people of Kadoma from the days we used to hold comedy nights here (Cotton Country Inn). We have lined up a lot of activities such as cocktail nights, braai weekends, comedy nights and networking workshops. The project is more about tourism in Kadoma,” said Ncube.

Nelsy expressed excitement about moving to Kadoma.

“Many would love to work in big cities, but we have opted for Kadoma. As a small city it has a lot to offer and the people are wonderful."

“Many would love to work in big cities, but we have opted for Kadoma. As a small city it has a lot to offer and the people are wonderful. It’s a good challenge and it would be amazing to have people stopping over in Kadoma,” she said.

Nelsy added that hospitality was not new to them as they had both been in the business for long.

“I worked in hotels for 12 years and Carl was a chéf in the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe. He does events, so it is not new. We are not ending there,” Nelsy said.

The restaurant seats a total of 32 people and has 10 booking rooms, one guest house and a bar.

An acoustic night with Tariro NeGitare will officially launch the place next week.
