Does Madonna perhaps need a breath mint? It certainly appears so after her latest stunt.
The 56-year-old Material Girl planted a long, gratuitous, kiss on rapper Drake during her performance at the Coachella Festival on Sunday night, but when her back was turned, the rapper appeared to be wretching as if he had swallowed her dentures.
It was certainly a far cry from the sexy kissed Madonna shared so publicly with Britney Spears and Christina Aguileira at the MTV Music Awards 12 years ago.
The song Madonna was performing at the time was her hit Express Yourself, which Drake appeared to be doing after the incident.
Naturally, the clip of the dreaded kiss went viral, with commentors lining up to have a dig at Madonna, who is twice Drake’s age.
“Looked like she was stealing his soul and then burped in his mouth,” said one poster, while another added: “We need to pray for drake”.
Some even suggested that Madonna kissing younger performers was the key to her eternal youth.
The singer was certainly a strange choice for the Coachella Festival, which traditionally draws a younger audience. – IOL
